Our latest annual report provides transparency, accountability, and insight into how we are developing our business and shaping the industries we serve.
As a corporate business we are held accountable for our actions and we take this responsibility very seriously. These responsibilities run through three of our four core values as a business: leading for sustainability, developing employee talent, respecting diversity and teamwork, and delivery on every commitment.
We strive to embed the highest standards of sustainable, ethical and good conduct deep in our culture, in our behaviors and practices. It means we can and must always do better. Every year!
Measured progress. Real impact.
In 2025, we continued to strengthen our sustainability performance - building on consistent year-on-year progress.

Shaping sustainable industry through innovation
We are in a unique position to shape the sustainability of entire industrial processes. Product innovation is the most important long-term pillar of our strategy- enabling more sustainable operations today and lower-impact production tomorrow.
In 2025, our technology brands focused on delivering practical, scalable improvements - especially upgrades that improve efficiency and reduce emissions without requiring major investment or disruption.
Examples include:

Launched an all-electric Automatic Mold Handling System (AMH) for DISA MATCH, reducing energy use and eliminates hydraulic oil

Data-driven process optimization supports major scrap reductions for customers

Expansion of sand reclamation technology enables reuse of sand 30+ times, significantly reducing waste

StrikoWestofen
Energy efficiency upgrades for melting, dosing and holding furnaces reduce emissions while extending equipment life

Wear-part innovations reduce energy, abrasive use, and maintenance -without machine upgrades

Driving change across our global operations
Sustainability progress comes from consistent improvements across our global operations. From energy and water to materials and waste, local initiatives contribute to measurable global impact. Examples of initiatives that have been implemented include:
- Water stewardship (India): Expanded rainwater harvesting capacity at Tumkur plant
- Energy & hazardous waste (USA): LED transition eliminated fluorescent waste and reduced energy use
- Digitalization (Japan & China): Removal of paper-based workflows, saving 250,000+ sheets annually
Our people, skills and communities
Sustainable industry depends on people. That is why we invest in developing skills, strengthening industry knowledge, and building meaningful connections across the communities where we operate.
In 2025, we expanded our internal training and leadership development programs, building the capabilities needed to drive progress. At the same time, we strengthened collaboration with academic institutions and industry organizations - connecting emerging talent with real industrial practice.
These efforts are complemented by long-standing initiatives such as our student engagement program in India, which has supported more than 4,000 students to date, alongside scholarships and knowledge-sharing activities across our global network.
Beyond professional development, we engage employees, customers and communities through events and local initiatives - from tree planting activities and employee-led volunteering to milestone events such as DISA’s 125-year anniversary and new facility openings - strengthening collaboration and long-term relationships.
